Borrowing

Loan calculators

Estimate EMI, eligibility and the effect of prepayment before you borrow.

EMI calculator

Enter principal, annual rate and tenure in months. EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n ÷ ((1+r)^n − 1), where r is the monthly rate.

Example: ₹20,00,000 at 9% for 240 months gives an estimated EMI of about ₹17,998.

Home and personal loan

Home loans and personal loans use the same amortisation formula with different rate and tenure inputs. Lender fees are not included unless entered.

Example: compare a 20-year and a 15-year tenure to see total interest paid.

Car, eligibility and prepayment

Car loan uses the EMI formula. Eligibility estimates the maximum EMI from income and existing obligations. Prepayment shows the reduced tenure or interest saved.

Results are estimates; your lender's sanction terms govern.

Investing

Investment planning calculators

Project SIP, lumpsum, SWP, retirement and fixed-income outcomes. Projections are not guaranteed returns.

SIP and step-up SIP

Future value uses FV = P × [((1+i)^n − 1) ÷ i] × (1+i), with i as the monthly return. Step-up raises the monthly SIP by a fixed yearly percentage.

Example: ₹10,000 monthly at an assumed 12% for 15 years.

Lumpsum, compound interest and CAGR

Lumpsum: A × (1+r)^n. CAGR: (End ÷ Start)^(1/years) − 1. Compound interest uses the same growth base with your chosen compounding frequency.

Example: ₹5,00,000 growing at an assumed 10% for 10 years.

SWP, retirement and ₹1 crore goal

SWP models regular withdrawals from a corpus. Retirement and goal tools solve for the monthly saving needed to reach a target after inflation.

Example: how long ₹1 crore lasts at a set monthly withdrawal.

FD and RD

FD maturity uses the quarterly compounding formula commonly applied by banks. RD sums monthly deposits with compounding. Enter the rate your bank states.

PPF, EPF and NPS

Government schemes use rates and limits set by the government for each period. Enter the current published rate; the tool does not assume it will persist.

Assumptions first

Every investment result depends on the return and inflation you enter. Change them to test a conservative scenario before relying on any figure.

Tax & salary

Tax, salary and budget tools

Income tax calculations apply to the current financial year. Confirm slabs and deductions with official sources before filing.

Income tax, old versus new regime

Compare tax under both regimes side by side. Enter gross income, deductions and exemptions; the result shows tax, cess and the regime that pays less.

Example: ₹12,00,000 annual income with ₹1,50,000 of eligible deductions under the old regime.

CTC, HRA, gratuity and salary hike

Convert CTC to in-hand pay after PF and tax. HRA exemption is the least of actual HRA, rent minus 10% of basic, and 50% or 40% of basic. Gratuity uses 15 days' salary per year of service. Salary hike shows the new monthly figure.

GST, credit card, savings and budgeting

GST adds or removes tax on a base price at the rate you select. Credit card tools estimate interest on unpaid balances and reward points. Savings interest, monthly budget, emergency fund, inflation and savings goal tools show the working behind each figure.
